The Good Life

The Good Life

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

― Dr. Seuss

Much of our lives are focused on problem-solving.  Who needs what?  What needs tending to? Where am I supposed to be when and how?

The good lifeThis daily whirlwind of mental gymnastics wraps our brains up with too much tension and negative energy.  As a result, we forget to remember what’s good about today.

But, when we do take a few moments each day to take a deep breath, feel our feet planted solidly on the ground and remember to count what’s sacred about our life, here’s what we might recall:

  • I am safe.
  • I am loved.
  • I am alive.
  • I am good.
  • I am connected to my Source.

These basic truths remind us of what’s good about today leading us to move gently forward to the next moment with greater peace and clarity.

Game Plan:  Take a moment today to take a deep breath, feel your feet rooted upon the ground you stand upon and ask yourself, What’s good about today?
